The Educational and Methodological Center of Extramural and Evening Forms of Education (EMCEEFE) was reorganized by the decision of DNU Academic Council and in accordance with the rector's order in 2016 on the basis of the Center of Extramural and Evening Forms of Education.
The composition of the EMCEEFE includes: Department of extramural form of education, Department of evening form of education.
EMCEEFE in its activities is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, the Laws of Ukraine «On Education», «On Higher Education», «On Scientific and Scientific and Technical Activity», «On Priority Areas of Development of Science and Technology», Decrees of the President of Ukraine, resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, normative acts of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, other central bodies of the executive power of Ukraine, the Statute of DNU, orders and directives of the rector of DNU.

Extramural education was introduced in 1939 in order to ensure the possibility of combining the process of obtaining higher education with work. More than 1,000 students study at the university by extramural form.
The educational process of the Department of extramural education is provided by more than 40 departments of the university.
The contingent of extramural education students is formed due to the persons who have entered the first course based on the results of external independent evaluation, those who obtaining parallel education, graduates of professional colleges, persons who have been renewed for study or transferred from full-time education form, and persons acquiring a second degree.
Department of extramural education is carrying out educational activities at the first (bachelor) level in the following specialties and educational programs:
