Oleksii Dzhusov - Honorary Professor at the University of Mittweida

Oleksii Dzhusov, Professor of the Department of Marketing and International Management at Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, Doctor of Economics, was awarded the title of Honorary Professor at the University of Applied Sciences of Mittweida (Saxony, Germany).

Oleksii Dzhusov is nowadays the only foreign Honorary Professor of this famous European university.

Oleksii Dzhusov is a coordinator of double degree programs for students with universities in France and Germany. Oleksii's research interests include technical analysis and investing in the US stock market, as well as the formation and management of investment portfolios in the international sector. He is a supervisor for students of the first, second and third (educational and scientific, PhD) levels of higher education.

Oleksii Dzhusov was awarded the title of Honorary Professor in the field of International Finance and Investment according to the paragraph 2 of section 67 of the Saxon Higher Education Act of May 31, 2023 (as amended on the 22 of June, 2023). Our Ukrainian specialist was nominated for this prestigious title by his colleagues from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering of the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida.

It should be noted that rectors of partner universities, including the rector of our university, Professor Sergiy Okovytyy, were invited to the honorable inauguration ceremony. Because Sergiy Ivanovych was unable to come personally, a special congratulatory letter was sent to Professor Tolkmitt on behalf of the rector of DNU. The letter expresses gratitude for the significant material and humanitarian assistance which was given to Ukraine and Ukrainian students since the beginning of the war, as well as sincere hopes for continued and expanded cooperation between our educational institutions.

In particular, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University and the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida have 16 years of reliable and fruitful cooperation in the academic field. Since 2007, dozens of students of DNU have studied at the partner German university under exchange programs and double degree programs.

And since September 2022, under the coordination of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), our university, together with the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida, has been implementing another project – “Digital Ukraine: Academic Success through Practice-Oriented Online Learning”. The aim of the project is to improve the skills of Ukrainian teachers and preserve digital teaching in Ukraine in times of the devastating impact of war on the infrastructure of the national education system.
