International Ranking of Webometrics: DNU is the1st in the Region

According to the authoritative academic ranking of Webometrics , Oles Honchar Dnipro National University took the 16th place in the all-Ukrainian ranking and became the undisputed leader in the Dnipro region again.

Ranking Web is a ranking of representation of universities in the virtual space that uses both webometric and bibliometric indicators. The main target of the ranking is to promote open access to the knowledge which is generated by the world's universities and to increase and disseminate high-quality scientific content on the Internet.

According to the July 2023 version of the Webometrics ranking, the best higher educational establishments in the Dnipro region took the following places among domestic universities:

16th place - Oles Honchar Dnipro National University

24rd place - Dnipro University of Technology

50th place - National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine

64th place - Alfred Nobel University

71st place - Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture

In general, the largest ranking system of the world universities today, Webometrics Ranking of World's Universities, processes web indicators of more than 20,000 universities worldwide. The Webometrics Ranking of World's Universities is based on a special methodology developed according to the Berlin Principles on Ranking of Higher Education Institutions, defined by UNESCO, based on independent, objective, and open data on the integration of higher education institutions in the Internet. The ranking is conducted by the Cybermetrics Lab research group of the National Research Council of Spain (CSIC, Madrid) twice a year – in January and July. Based on a combined indicator, the ranking takes into account the number of pages indexed by search engines on university websites, external links, and citations of these resources.
