Internship at the University of Wroclaw: New Impulses

Four representatives of the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Art Studies of DNU completed a several-day internship at the University of Wroclaw under the Erasmus+ academic mobility program.

Associate Professor of the Department of English Philology Natalia Safonova gave several lectures and conducted practical classes for Polish students.

Laura Sukhostawska, the coordinator of the Erasmus+ program in English Philology at the University of Wroclaw, helped the DNU representatives a lot during their stay in Wroclaw. She agreed to cooperate with the Department of English Philology of DNU and, in particular, to take part in an international conference in November 2024 on topical issues of philology”.

Nataliia Diachok, Head of the Department of General Linguistics and Slavic Studies at Dnipro National University, and Olena Kuvarova, Professor of this department, met with representatives of the Slavic Studies departments of the University of Wroclaw and students majoring in English and Ukrainian.

They signed an agreement with Polish colleagues on the teaching practice of master's students of the University of Wroclaw at the Department of General Linguistics and Slavic Studies of DNU.

“The first Polish masters have already started their internship with us, which will last from March to May. We are grateful to the international departments of DNU and the University of Wroclaw for their support and guidance during the internship,” Natalia Diachok said.

Viktor Korsunsky, Head of the Department of Fine Arts and Design at DNU, was on his first Erasmus+ internship. He visited the Wroclaw Academy of Arts, which is considered one of the leading educational institutions in Europe in the field of contemporary art, and inspected the buildings related to visual art, design, and architecture.

It should be noted that Yulia Datchenko, an associate professor of the Department of General Linguistics and Slavic Studies at the University of Wroclaw, is currently studying at the Master's program at the University of Wroclaw. She promotes Ukrainian culture and traditions among the students and teachers in every possible way. Also, the teachers of DNU were given a tour of the University of Wroclaw and met the head of the international department, Barbara Skalacka-Harrold.

The internship took place within the framework of a bilateral cooperation agreement between DNU and the University of Wroclaw.
