DNU is in the TOP-20 in Scopus-2024

The annual ranking of Ukrainian higher education institutions according to the SciVerse Scopus scientometric database has been published on Osvita.ua. According to this year’s results, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University entered the TOP-20 universities of Ukraine, where it took the 16th place.

The ranking was created based on the results of scientometric monitoring of research and publishing entities in Ukraine as of April 24, 2024. 214 Ukrainian universities with separate Affiliation IDs in the official Scopus list were ranked by the Hirsch index, a quantitative indicator based on the citation data of scientific articles published by the university or its specialists.

Oles Honchar Dnipro National University (with a Hirsch index of 54, 5353 publications and 27467 citations) showed a «silver» result among all higher education institutions in the Dnipro region. The top 3, together with DNU, are: Dnipro State Medical University (12th place) and Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology (18th place).

The top 10 universities in the region also include:

- National Technical University «Dnipro Polytechnic» - 30th place in Ukraine (Hirsch index – 39);

- Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University – 33rd place (Hirsch index – 38);

- Kryvyi Rih National University – 38th place (Hirsch index – 36);

- Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology – 43rd place (Hirsch index – 33);

- Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture – 74th place (Hirsch index – 26);

- Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University – 94th place (Hirsch index – 21);

- University of Customs and Finance – 125th place (Hirsch index – 17).
