New Grant from the American Simons Foundation for Scientists

Oles Honchar Dnipro National University has received good news – the Alma Mater's researchers have received another international grant. The American Foundation Simons Foundation International, Ltd. (SFI) has once again chosen to fund the project “Support for Leading Scientists of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University”.

This time, according to the program PD-Ukraine: President Directed – Ukraine Support Grants program, the Simons Foundation (USA) will support 54 scientists of DNU with scholarships: 25 doctors of sciences, 19 candidates of sciences and 10 postgraduate students. Among them, the Director of the Botanical Garden, the Director of the Aquarium Educational and Scientific Complex, and the Director of the Scientific Library of DNU will receive support for their work in their positions.

The total amount of funding (including indirect costs) is $178,400. The scholarships will be paid to DNU researchers for the next 12 months – from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025. During this time, payments will be made at the end of the first and third quarters. The first payment will be made by November 30, 2024.

It should be noted that the scholarship holders are selected on a competitive basis based on high indicators of scientific activity: publication activity, Hirsch index, high scientific rating among the scientists of DNU.

The research department prepares a package of documents, resume, reporting materials for the previous period and prepares a submission to the Simons Foundation International.
