The Department of English Language for Non-Philological Specialities, Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Study of Art at Oles Honchar Dnipro National University offers a new elective course – Communication and Digital Media as part of the project “Modernization of University Education Programmes in Foreign Languages by Integrating Information Technologies” No. 101128713 – DigiFLEd – ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE (Erasmus+ Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education).

The course provides practical advice on using communication strategies and tactics and introduces the creation of podcasts and educational videos. This enables students not only to theoretically grasp the basics of communication but also to apply modern digital tools, which are extremely important today. The acquired knowledge and skills will foster a creative approach to content creation and the effective use of media in professional activities.

Students who successfully complete the course will understand the main concepts and theories of communication, apply modern digital tools to create podcasts and educational videos, and be able to record, edit, and publish multimedia content. They will master the use of digital media tools and platforms for professional activities, improve English communication skills, gain experience in working as a team on multimedia projects, and learn how to effectively use digital media for presentations, educational purposes, and international project implementation.
