Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2025: DNU is in the Top in Physical and Engineering Sciences

In the ranking of world universities by subjects 2025 from the British agency Times Higher Education, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University entered the leaders of the national table in two subject areas - physics and engineering.

In the Subject Rankings, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University has been ranked for the fifth year in a row and has again become the only representative of the Dnipropetrovsk region among all evaluated Ukrainian HEIs.

All educational and scientific institutions of the world in the subject ranking were ranked based on the same 18 precise performance indicators as in the general Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025. However, the methodology was adjusted according to the disciplines. The detailed methodology of Subject Rankings 2025 was based on 157 million citations of 18 million scientific publications, as well as on survey responses from over 93,000 scientists from around the world.

In 2025, our university demonstrated the best performance in two subject rankings – Top Physical Sciences School Rankings 2025 and Top Engineering School Rankings 2025.

In the final ranking of Ukrainian HEIs in physical science disciplines, our DNU entered the II group – category 1001+.

And in the ranking list of evaluated Ukrainian HEIs in engineering subjects, Dnipro National University was placed in the III group – category 1251+.
