Andriy Hovorov - twice on the podium in Nice

Fourth year student of the Faculty of Social Sciences and International Relations of Dnepropetrovsk National University Andriy Hovorov won silver and bronze medals at the International Club tournament of sport swimming "Energy Standard."

International swimming competition, held from 30 January to 1 February, 2015 in Nice (France), brought together about 450 strongest swimmers from Germany, Hungary, Italy, France, Russia, Switzerland, Ukraine and Sweden. Ukraine was represented at these competitions by national leaders of swimming in the corresponding age category - a team of 18 swimmers strongest among whom was an experienced athlete Andriy Hovorov.

The "number one" of the Dnepropetrovsk swimming - twice winner of the first Youth Olympic Games medalist and champion of European and world championships among adults - Andriy Hovorov in Nice managed to reach the podium twice.

In only two days of French competition Ukrainian swimmers won 10 awards. For our athletes they have become a good preparation for the national championships qualifiers to be held in April 2015 in Kharkiv. It is remarkable that Andriy Hovorov now lives and trains by individual plan next to Nice in neighboring Italy.
