On November 28, students of the Oles Honchar Dnipro National University attended a lecture by Mykyta Knysh, founder of the Hackyourmom community of Ukrainian hacker-activists.
The lecture was part of the webinar “Ethical Hunting of Unethical Hackers” conducted under the USAID project “Cybersecurity of Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure”.
Students from the Department of Cybersecurity and Computer-Integrated Technologies of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, which represents Oles Honchar Dnipro National University in the project, as well as students from other faculties - Applied Mathematics, Physics, Electronics and Computer Systems, Mechanics and Mathematics were invited to the webinar.
The online event on the Zoom platform was moderated by Olena Kravchuk, USAID project representative and manager of the Cybersecurity Professional Development Unit. As Olena noted, this webinar was part of a series of webinars on various specializations and career paths in the field of cybersecurity. This time, however, the project team deviated from the standard format and invited Dnipro students to communicate directly with the invited guest. It was Mykyta Knysh, the founder of the community of Ukrainian hacker-activists Hackyourmom (popularly known as “mom's hackers”). Mykyta, a well-known personality in his field, is doing white hat hacking for the Victory of Ukraine. He already has a long list of merits in cyber defense of our country and support of the Ukrainian army.
The webinar used a mindmap format, where participants recorded their thoughts online. This technique was used, in particular, to accurately illustrate the real issues that concerned the audience.
