On December 20, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University (DNU) hosted the roundtable discussion "Ukraine's Integration into the Contemporary Space of Francophonie: Current Status and Prospects" as part of the French Culture Week in the Dnipro region. Organized by the Dnipro Regional Military Administration, this hybrid event gathered over 100 participants who share a love for French culture and language.
The event was preceded by the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration and the Hauts-de-France region, cementing collaboration in education, digitalization, and academic mobility. A Memorandum was signed by the Head of Dnipropetrovs'k Regional Military Administration Sergiy Lysak and the President of the region Xavier Bertrand.
The online event at DNU welcomed representatives of diplomatic missions, government officials, and academic institutions to discuss the challenges and opportunities in Ukraine-France cooperation, with a particular emphasis on education.

- Heloise Marmouset de la Taille, Attache for Scientific and Cultural Cooperation at the French Embassy in Ukraine.
- Catherine Lesac, Professor of Applied Languages, University of Bordeaux III (Michel de Montaigne).
- Tatyana Kobchenko, Course Director at Alliance Francaise de Dnipro.
- Natalia Peshekhonova, Director of Dnipro Ukrainian-French Lyceum #126.
- Claudia Visan, Representative of the National University Agency of Francophonie (Moldova).
DNU Rector Professor Sergiy Okovytyy expressed gratitude to international partners for strengthening ties with French institutions. He highlighted key achievements, including:
- Academic exchanges and research cooperation with Sorbonne University through the Eastern Partnership University Cluster (Prague).
- Collaborative Applied Mathematics and Computer Mechanics programs with SIGMA Clermont Institute (Clermont-Ferrand).
- Erasmus+ academic exchanges involving universities such as Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Paris-Sud, and Maine.
- Language internships for students at the CAVILAM Linguistic Center (Vichy).
The event also featured a plenary session where DNU researchers and students presented their diverse French philology, philosophy, history, and international relations studies, showcasing their deep engagement with French cultural and academic topics.
DNU remains committed to fostering international cooperation, particularly with French-speaking partners, as a cornerstone of its academic and cultural growth.
