In the annual rating of higher education institutions of Ukraine “Vstup.OSVITA.UA” according to the results of the 2024 admission campaign, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University became the regional leader in the total number of students enrolled in the budget and contract forms of study.
When ranking, the information system “Vstup.OSVITA.UA” used statistical data obtained from the Unified State Database on Education (EDBO) - the results of the enrollment of students for the bachelor's program as of November 1, 2024.
In total, 213 Ukrainian universities and professional colleges were evaluated in the rating according to the indicators “Enrolled on the budget”, “Enrolled on the contract”, “Ratio of the number of people enrolled on the contract to those enrolled on the budget”, as well as “Competition for 1 budget place”. Among them there are 16 educational institutions from the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Oles Honchar Dnipro National University became the most popular higher education institution in the region in 2024 among applicants - a total of 1,835 people were enrolled in the first year of study.
DNU also took first place among regional universities in terms of the number of applicants enrolled in the contract form of study – 1,298 people. In terms of the number of enrolled in the budget form of study (537 people), DNU took 3rd place in the region. The top three in this indicator are also the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies (642 people) - 1st place and the National Technical University “Dnipropetrovsk Polytechnic” (634 people) – 2nd place, respectively.
However, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University significantly outperformed regional universities in terms of the “Competition for 1 budget place”. In 2024, it was 4.06 people per place at DNU. And accordingly, 3.51 people per place – at the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies, 2.01 people per place – at the National Technical University “Dnipro Polytechnic”.
